When & Where?

Semptmber 24th & 25th, 2016. The Lancaster Marriott at Penn Center. We will have 4 demonstration rooms along with a central vendor area.

Why 2016?

The AAW will be held in Pittsburgh in 2015 so there was not a need for a regional symposium in the same year. As this is the first Mid Atlantic symposium, we needed a full 2 years lead time to make the necessary arrangements.

Where is parking?

The Hotel has agreed to offer us a $5.00 per day rate. At this point we are thinking we will give out a voucher when you register.

Why a Banquet?

It is normal in a convention situation, in order to use meeting space, to have a requirement for a certain number of rooms to be rented and for expenditures on food.  The banquet offers an opportunity to satisfy that and to give us a chance to all be together at one time in a social atmosphere.  Demonstrators will be invited to join us at the banquet.

What is happening at the Banquet?

We will have a brief period acknowledging the people that produced the symposium, the demonstrators and vendors. There will be a raffle of lots of great mechandise.

What is the Silent Auction?

Plans are tentative at this point.  It is possible we will select a charity to benefit from the sale of donated items at a silent auction.

What is an Instant Gallery?

It is an oppurtunity for attendees and demonstrators to show their work to attendees and possible to the general public. The pieces can either be for sale, or marked display only. More information can be found here.

What is the Raffle?

At our Banquet we will be using your ticket numbers for a Raffle. We are currently seeking donations from vendors and other interested parties. Return to Top

T-Shirts?

At this point we are planing on having T-shirts printed the will have our logo and something about the first Mid Atlantic Woodturners Symposium. They will be available for purchase with your show tickets.
